Thank you from the Program Head

Dear Friends:

On behalf of the Bio-Chem Redirect Program at the U.S. Department of State, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all of you for your participation and role in the success of last month's first Chemical Science and Commercialization Conference in Moscow, jointly sponsored by the U.S. State Department and the International Science and Technology Center in Moscow (ISTC). Your participation and enthusiasm made this conference a resounding success.

I hope that each of you found the conference a unique opportunity to meet with and learn about top-notch Russian and Eurasian chemical scientists and commercial representatives and guests from Russia, Eurasia, Europe, Canada, Japan, and the United States. The amount of time spent in one-on-one meetings at the conference was a testament to the real success of the conference, and we greatly appreciated all of your efforts.

Please do not hesitate to contact me or others from my office or the ISTC for assistance in facilitating contact between your company or institution and scientists or representatives whom you met with during the conference. My office and the ISTC also stand ready to assist your efforts should you desire further collaboration as a partner with the ISTC. In addition, if you were not able to establish successful matches at the conference, we are happy to work with you to link you with other scientists or institutes whose skills or capabilities may better match the interests of your company or institution.

In addition, if you have not yet had a chance to fill out a conference feedback form, please submit the attached form to Amie Luseni (Email: LuseniAH@State.gov). Your feedback will help us to build on the successes of the conference and plan future events, and your input will increase our understanding of your specific interests and needs.

I would also like to let you know that you will be able to continue to obtain follow-up information concerning the Chemical Science and Commercialization Conference and the U.S. Bio-Chem Redirect Program through the conference website: http://biistate.net/chemconference. We will continue to maintain and build this website, and we will be regularly updating the website to make it a resource for you. Within upcoming weeks, the website will include links to all conference speaker presentations, poster abstracts, contact information for all participants, and additional information about our programs.

If you have additional questions regarding the conference or the Bio-Chem Redirect Program please feel free to contact
